When my friend first picked me up in the Uber, I was suspicious. I was even more suspicious when we drove down Victoria Street, a place more famous for their authentic Vietnamese fare and grocers. But I waited (could always just jump out since it's hideously difficult to speed down the busy thoroughfare) and so glad I did! This place has so much character. Order a pizza at the front (line your tummy for all that beer) and start tasting those beers. The pale ales are delicious but it's those crazy brews that you should try - we quite liked Cake Hole (a black forest-flavoured stout). The interior is crazy kitcsh and so is the crowd. We were there with the usual beer-guzzling crowd... and a kid's birthday party. Did we mention there's also free popcorn? LOVE IT!
